Passeggia tra le viuzze, le piazze animate e le splendide cattedrali della vecchia città coloniale. Contempla la facciata bianca della magnifica Iglesia de San Francisco, il più grande edificio coloniale dell'Ecuador. Assaggia i piatti della cucina tradizionale in un caffè del quartiere Guapulo e metti un piede in ciascun emisfero al monumento Mitad del Mundo, che segna la linea dell'equatore. Ammira il panorama della città a bordo del Teleferico, la seconda funivia più alta del mondo.

Visitare il mercato di Otavalo, il più vasto mercato di prodotti artigianali del Sud America, è un'esperienza indimenticabile. Non esiste un luogo migliore per interagire con la popolazione indigena ecuadoriana.
